Myco Clay began to develop a very distinctive mutation of Yeti cubensis (an isolation of True Albino Teacher) around August 2020. This phenotype had white flesh that turns dark blue when bruised and gills that also change to blue as the spores ripen. The most noticeable feature of this mutation is its round, pale, wrinkly bumpy caps. He named it “Nutcracker”.
Nutcracker has continued to mutate with each new generation. It’s a fun mushroom to grow because you never know what fun crazy stuff will get. A Nutcracker tub is filled with folds and flowers and “nutsack” shaped caps in all sizes.
